ACtion Management History
A. C. Lasher – Owner – started in property management and development of Rural Development complexes in 1989 with Swinger Realty of Marshall, Missouri. In 1997, he purchased the management company from Mr. Swinger, and renamed it ACtion Management and Consulting Services.
Mr. Lasher has attended and received certification from numerous Spectrum Seminars Inc. in the Rural Development 515 RRH Program, LIHTC Compliance and Fair/Housing/Section 504 in additional to various Rural Development sponsored training seminars.
Mr. Lasher is a licensed realtor in the state of Missouri and bi-annually does the required number of hours of continuing education as required by Missouri real estate laws. He is also currently serving as President of the Missouri Council of Affordable Rural Housing (MoCARH). MoCARH works to promote rural housing programs in Missouri in conjunction with the National Council of Affordable Rural Housing.
Prior to entering the property management field, Mr. Lasher was Code Enforcement Administrator & Building Official – City of Marshall, MO 1977 through 1989; Is certified in BOCA; Past President of Missouri Association of Code Administrators and has worked extensively with Missouri Economic Development Commission.
Connie B. Lasher – General Manager – started work full-time at ACtion Management in July 2000 after leaving the USDA with more than 21 years with Rural Development, 13 of which was in the Rural Rental Housing Program. While at Rural Development, Mrs. Lasher was a Rural Development Specialist for 150 RRH complexes. She was also a member of the Rural Development National Office Training Team for new employees in the RRH programs. Mrs. Lasher has also attended numerous Rural Development training sessions, Spectrum Seminars and Ruth Theobald Tax Credit Seminars.
Mrs. Lasher’s extensive background in the area of rental housing is a definite asset in our property management business. Since coming to ACtion Management, Mrs. Lasher supervises office staff, works with Site Managers currently having vacancy problems, prepares budgets and year-end reports and assists Mr. Lasher in all facets of the business.
ACtion Management & Consulting Services currently has site managers and maintenance employees. The majority of the site managers live on-site. Maintenance employees are under the direction of the Site Managers. Site Managers report to the appropriate Property Manager in the Central Office, who in turn report to the General Manager, Connie Lasher and/or Mr. Lasher.
